My experience with Syktyvkarskiy LPK started in 2010 when my classmates and I visited the mill museum and I first learned about its rich history. I was impressed by how it had changed over the years and how many efforts had been put into it.

I joined the company in 2017 when there was a vacancy in Finance. I started to pass interviews when I was defending my graduation thesis and after getting my degree I learned that I got a job.

I remember very well my first day of work and the excitement I felt on my way to the mill. It was the 17th of July 2017. I met my colleagues who are still providing great support and assistance to me. They started to introduce me to the world of production and subtleties of being an economist.

I was surprised at how multinational the company was. We were constantly exchanging knowledge and skills with the colleagues from different mills of the Group and it helped me to keep up my command of the English language. I also made friends with many of them.

I also faced difficulties at work. But mainly because of lots of unknown terms and notions I was encountering. Production processes seemed confusing, but my colleagues were very supportive. Working Weekends also helped me a lot when we visited different production areas of our mill and learned their processes.

Actually, my colleagues are my greatest support throughout my work at the company. I think that my way at the mill would not have been possible without their tremendous support. Each of my colleagues is a mentor with unique knowledge and skills who is ready to share them.

My job requires higher economic education. Communication and analysis skills, high tolerance for stress and self-discipline are also needed. It is necessary to know production processes of our big mill and to have an excellent memory.

Actually, everyone must develop and improve in various spheres of life unlocking their potential and implementing opportunities. They find harmony and balance when they truly fulfill themselves as unique persons. Our company enables each person to unleash this potential by becoming a professional in their field. There are lots of trainings conducted by our corporate university. Each training is unique in its own way, and one can’t but adopt this training knowledge. The company also offers external training opportunities. For instance, I passed CIMA training and I appreciate my company for this opportunity!

The most pleasant part of the job is to see the results. For example, when there is a task to calculate a business case. It is s a time-consuming process involving many colleagues, but it will result in a management decision.
