Bleached market pulp
KomiPrime
Premium bleached dry pulp
KomiPrime is a high-quality bleached dry pulp. There are two types of KomiPrime pulp:
- softwood pulp which is made from a mixture of pine (~20%) and spruce (~80%)
- hardwood pulp which is made from a mixture of birch (~50%) and aspen (~50%)
KomiPrime is bleached using ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free) technology.
Softwood pulp is the most valuable fiber material for papermaking. It consists mainly of long fibers and can therefore be used in combination with short fiber materials (hardwood, straw or cane pulp) as well as on its own.
The fibers of hardwood pulp are distinguished by their short length and softness enhancing properties of the paper made from this material. These characteristics make hardwood pulp more suitable for certain types of paper products.
Benefits
- Outstanding mechanical characteristics
- Consistent and stable quality with minimal variation in key parameters
- ECF bleaching: unlike elemental chlorine technology, which causes the formation of dioxins and dioxin-like compounds, elemental chlorine free pulp bleaching technology helps reduce the mill's negative environmental impact.
